Who we are
Since 2007, the Structural Engineers Association of Alaska, or SEAAK, has worked to promote awareness, increase education and establish connections within the Alaska community.
The SEAAK community is made up of structural engineering practicing throughout the State of Alaska. Our members are world leading experts on the art of engineering in the challenging arctic environment.
A cadre of volunteer board officers work to organize SEAAK events and coordinate our members.
SEAAK is a Member Organization of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA).

SEAAK is a non-profit organization established to pursue the common interests of practicing structural engineers and others sharing an interest in the activities of structural engineers. SEAAK promotes the following interests:
Advancing the technical practice of structural engineers through meetings, seminars and educational programs.
To develop policies, guidelines, and standards for technical, professional, and business matters concerning the practice of structural engineering.
Advancing proper legislation affecting structural engineering practice.
To participate with organizations in the development of standards, codes, and other documents that affect the practice of structural engineering.
Encouraging the improvement of structural engineering practice among its membership and the engineering community at large.
Serving the public, encouraging the pursuit of excellence in our practice, and maintaining the honor and dignity of our profession.
To encourage the pursuit of excellence in engineering work and give recognition to special achievements.
